Torii Kiyonaga
1752~1815
He was an Ukiyo-e (浮世絵: woodblock prints) artist and painter. He was a pupil of the third master of Tori-school, Kiyomitsu Torii (鳥居清満). Kiyonaga was the fourth master. He specialized in “Bijin-ga” (美人画). He establish his own female image by depicting slender and healthy women. His work influenced numerous contemporaries.
