Kobori Ensyu
1579〜1647
He was a warlord, tea master, founder of Ensyu school. He served Hideyoshi Toyotomi (豊臣秀吉), Ieyasu Tokugawa (徳川家康), and Hidetada Tokugawa (徳川秀忠). Ensyu engaged in the construction of many castles including Edo castle, Nagoya castle. He showed a remarkable talent for building and gardening. Also, he had an eye for waka poem, calligraphy, and tea-things.
