Hasegawa Tohaku
1539~1610
He was born in Noto, Ishikawa pref. First, he introduced himself as “Shinsyun”(信春). Then he went to Kyoto and he renamed to “Tohaku” in his thirties. A wall painting in Chsyaku-in temple(智積院) was a major work of Hasegawa school. Especially, Tohaku’s work, “Kaede-zu”(楓図:Maple Tree) was very gorgeous. Also, His major work,“Syorinzu-byobu”(松林図屏風) fascinates people.
