Tachihara Kyosho
1785~1840
He was a Nan-ga (南画: the South school of Chinese painting) painter. His father was a famous Confusian, Suiken tachihara (立原翠軒). Kyosyo studied painting under his father’s pupils, Zikko Hayashi (林十江) and Ayaru Kobayashi (小泉斐). He had relation with other painters and literati. For example, Kazan Watanabe(渡辺崋山), Chinzan Tsubaki (椿椿山), and so on. He was respected both as a painter and samurai.
