Tani Buncho
1763~1840
He was a painter born in Edo (now Tokyo). His father was a poet, Rokkoku Tani (谷麓谷).He studied painting under Bunrei Kato (加藤文麗) and Gentai Watanabe (渡辺玄対).He became a retainer of Sadanobu Matsudaira (松平定信) in 1792.
