He was a calligrapher and painter born in Tokushima pref. He moved to Kyoto and taught Confucianism. He respected to Tetsuo(鉄翁) and Tokisyo(董其昌). He was conservative so there was no strong individuality in his works. His works are really simple but beautiful and elegant.
