Okakura Tenshin

1863～1913
He was an artist, educator and thinker. He established the foundation for Japanese modern arts. Also, He had great influence on many writers as an educator. He made efforts to establish Tokyo Arts School from the Meiji era and became the principle of the school. The school produced many brilliant artists.
