He was a general of samurai, tea master, and younger brother of Nobunaga Oda (織田信長). After Nobunaga’s death, he served Hideyoshi Toyotomi (豊臣秀吉). In 1590, he shaved his head and called himself as Urakusai Joan (有楽斎如庵).He served Ieyasu Tokugawa (徳川家康) and Hideyori Toyotomi (豊臣秀頼). In his later year, he restore Syoden-in (正伝院) in Kennin-ji temple (建仁寺) and lived there. About tea ceremony, he studied under Senno Rikyu (千利休) and was regarded as one of the best 7 pupils of Rikyu.
