Katsukawa Shunei

1762～1819
He was an Ukiyo-e (浮世絵: pictures or woodblock prints of the floating world) artist, the pupil of Syunsyo Kastsukawa (勝川春章). He drew mainly Yakusya-e (役者絵:print of Kabuki actors) and Sumo-e (相撲絵: print of Sumo). His unique style had an influence on an Ukiyo-e artist, Toyokuni Utagawa (歌川豊国).
