Otani Kubutsu

1875〜1943
He was a monk of the Jodo Shinsyu sect, the 23th head monk of Higashi Honganji temple(東本願寺). He studied painting under Bairei Kono (幸野楳嶺) and Seiho Takeuchi (竹内栖鳳). Also, he studied haiku poem under Hekigoto Kawahigashi (河東碧梧桐).
