Takeuchi Seiho

1864～1942
He was born in Kyoto. He studied painting from Bairei Kono (幸野楳嶺). He won the Order of Culture in 1937. He was active as key person in modern Kyoto painting school. His skill of description was marvelous. It was said that people can smell body odor from his animal painting. His work highly valued from home and abroad.
