Takechi Hanpeita

1829〜1865
He was a loyalist born in Kochi pref. He was a member of a party named Tosa-kinno (土佐勤皇党).　The Party’s motto was antiforeignism. However, the party was oppressed by a domain head, Yodo Yamauchi (山内容堂). Yodo ordered Hanpeita to commit harakiri . Hanpeita died at the young age of 37.
