Utagawa Toyoharu
1735~1814
He was an Ukiyo-e artist. At first, he studied under Tangei Tsurusawa (鶴沢探鯨) in Kyoto. Later, he moved to Edo (now Tokyo) and studied under Sekien Toriyama (鳥山石燕). Also, he studied perspective from Western copperplate print and used the technique in his works. He produced many pupils as the founder of Utagawa school.
