Naito Konan

1866～1934
He was born in Akita pref. After he graduated from Akita normal school, he went to Tokyo and participated in a group of people who engaged in literature or writing. He became a writer for newspapers. Then He became a professor of Kyoto Imperial　University. He was in charge of Oriental history. He laid the foundation of Sinology in Japan. He went to China many time and he developed his knowledge.
