Kawabata Yasunari

1899〜1972
He was a novelist born in Osaka. After he graduated from Tokyo Imperial University, he created the magazine,“Bungei Jidai” (文芸時代) He won the Nobel Prize and the Order of Culture. There many his masterpieces, including “Izu no odoriko” (The Izu Dancer), “Yukiguni” (雪国: Snow Country), and “Senbazuru” (千羽鶴: Thousand Cranes)
