Okura Ryuzan

1784～1850
He was a painter, pupil and patron of Chikudo Nakabayashi (中林竹洞). He drew mainly landscape painting in the style of Nan-ga (南画: the South school of Chinese painting). In 1819, he published “Ookuraga Shigafu” (大倉画四画譜). He had interact with many literati including Chikuden Tanomura (田能村竹田) and Sanyo Rai (頼山陽).
