Suzuki Huyo
1752~1816
He was a painter born in Nagano pref. He went to Edo (now Tokyo) and studied Confucianism. It is said that he studied painting under Sosui Watanabe (渡辺湊水) and Gentai (玄対親子). In 1796, he became an official painter called “Goyo-eshi” (御用絵師)on referral from Ritsuzan Shibano (柴野栗山). He drew landscape painting around Japan and wrote some books. Also, he studied Chinese painting. He wrote a book about the art of painting of Chinese painter, Kangen Hi (費漢源).
