Kano Issin
1816~1863
He was a Kano school painter. It is said he became a pupil of Sosen Kano (狩野素川) but it is uncertain. He was conferred Hokyo and Hogen (法橋, 法眼: the ranks among the Buddhist monk). The number of his works is small. His major works, “”Gohyakurakan-zu” (五百羅漢図) in Zojo-ji temple (増上寺), we can see the vivid and extremely individual depiction.
