He was a monk born in Kyoto. He built Reigenin (霊源院) and Hojo-ji temple (大梅山法常寺) in Kyoto. He had interacts with Zen monks inclucding Gudo (愚堂), Unkyo (雲居).
He died at the young age of 39.
