Artist
1812~1885
He was a Japanese-style painter born in Edo (now Tokyo). When he was 13, he became a pupil of Hoichi Sakai (酒井抱一). He exhibited his works to “Naikoku-Kaiga-Kyosinkai” (内国絵画共進会:Arts Exhibition) and Vienna International Exhibition in Meiji era. His mainly drew Kacho-ga (花鳥画: flower and bird painting ).
