Artist
He was a painter. When he was 22, he moved to Kyoto and studied under Gosyun (呉春). At first, he painted the picture with the brushwork of Shijo school. After he interacted with Sanyo Rai (頼山陽), he devoted himself to Nanga (南画). In 1818, he made a round of visits to the Kyusyu area and stayed Nagasaki for a while. After his returning, he had interacted with many scholars and painters. In 1824, he became an official painter of the lord of the Hagi domain, Narimoto Mori (毛利斉元).
