Nakanishi Koseki
1807〜1884
He was a Nan-ga (南画:the south school of Chinese painting) painter born in Fukuoka pref. He went to Osaka and became a pupil of Syochiku Shinozaki(篠崎小竹). He specialized in landscape painting and Kacho-ga(花鳥画:flower and bird painting). He was one of the major Nan-ga painters in the late Edo period.
