Shirakawa Shizan

1759〜1850
He was a Japanese-style painter and calligrapher born in Awazi Island (淡路島). He is known for the master of Kazan Watanabe (渡辺崋山). He was influenced by Chinese calligraphy. He used various arts of painting, including Shisjo-school (四条派), Nagasaki-school (長崎派), Nan-ga (南画).
