Komai Genki
1747〜1797
He was a Japanese-style painter born in Kyoto. He studied painting under the founder of Maruyama school, Oukyo Maruyama (円山応挙). He was good at Tang Bijin-zu (the picture of Chinese beautiful women). He was regarded as the best pupil of Oukyo along with Rosetsu Nagasawa (長沢芦雪).
