Nakabayashi Tikkei

1816〜1867
He was a Nan-ga (南画:the south school of Chinese painting) born in Aichi pref. His father was a painter, Chikuto Nakabashi(中林竹洞). Chikkei studied painting from his father. Then he became a pupil of Baiitsu Yamamoto (山本梅逸). He specialized in sketchi. He established his own school in Kyoto when he was at the age of 25.
