Hirahuku Suian

1844～1890
He was a Japanese-style painter born in Akita pref. He studied painting by himself. He went to Kyoto for studying. He concentrated on sketch of landscape there. He went on a trip to Hokkaido (北海道) in 1872 and he drew many paintings of Ainus.
