Ota Chou

1896～1958
He was a Japanese-style painter born in Miyagi pref. He studied painting under Seison Maeda. He continued to exhibit in the Inten exhibition (院展) and became a coterie. He drew portraits with clear colors. He became a assistant professor at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1926.
