Hunakoshi Yasutake
1912~2002
He was an engraver born in Iwate pref. He had wanted to become an engraver since his youth. He entered Tokyo University of Arts(東京芸術大学) and majored the department of sculpture. “Life” is a main motif of his works because he was a Christian. In his later year, he was half paralyzed so he couldn’t use his right hand. However, he continued engraving with left hand.
