Kitagawa Sosetsu

He was a painter active in the latter 17th century. He is regarded as the successor of Sosetsu Tawarata (俵屋宗達). He drew many Soka-zu (草花図: the screen painting of plants and flowers) with pastel colors. His works are also highly rated overseas.
