Noro Kaiseki

1747～1828
He was a Nan-ga (南画:the South school of Chinese painting)born in Wakayama pref. He studied Confucianism from Rangu Ito (伊藤蘭嵎). When he was at the age of 47, he served the domain of Kii (紀伊).
He studied painting under Taiga Ikeno (池大雅). It is also said that he studied painting under a monk of Oubaku-sect(黄檗宗),Kakutei (鶴亭).
