Kano Motonobu

1477～1559
He was a Kano school painter. He used coloration of Yamato-e in Indian-ink painting and tried to meld Japanese and Chinese art. He created the system to produce picture at a large scale. His major work is “Shiki Kacho-ga” (四季花鳥図: Four Seasons Flower and bird painting).
