He was a military man, full admiral, and marshal born in Kagoshima pref. He was a Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet when the Russo-Japanese War. His military obliterate Baltic Fleet in the battle of Nihonkai-kaisen (日本海海戦).
There is the famous his maxim, “The Empire’s fate depend on the result of this battle. Let every man do his utmost duty.”
